Kimberly A. Truong


Kimberly A. Truong, Ph.D. (she/her/hers/they/them/theirs) has 20+ years of experience leading JEDI strategy and implementation in higher education. She is a nationally recognized scholar for her research on the racialized experiences of graduate students. Kim has published in Diverse Issues in Higher Education, Harvard Educational Review, and New Directions for Institutional Research. Kim was  named by Get Konnected! as one of 50 most influential people of color in higher education. 

Kim earned a Ph.D. in higher education at the University of Pennsylvania, Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and B.A. in fine arts and politics from Brandeis University.

tariana v. little

Tariana V. Little, Dr.P.H., (she/her/hers) works at the intersections of public health, communications, and entrepreneurship. She is CEO/cofounder of EmVision Productions. Tariana has been named by El Mundo and El Planeta (New England’s largest Spanish-language newspapers) as among the most influential young Latino leaders in Massachusetts.

She holds a Dr.P.H. from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and an M.S. in Critical Ethnic and Community Studies from UMass Boston. Driven by science, storytelling, and social justice, Tariana’s work embodies what she calls “intentional creativity for social change.”

Kay martinez

Project Director

Kay Martinez, M.A. (they/them/theirs) is an Afro-Latinx Gender Non-Conformer. Kay has 10+ years of  experience directing JEDI initiatives in higher education. As a strategic consultant, they partner with leading tech, corporate, and non-profit clients to advance equity. They have been featured in Business InsiderHuffington Post, and published op-eds on the political climate of Queer Trans BIPOC in the US at the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality.

They have an M.A. in higher education from Boston College and B.A. in history and communications from Loyola University.

jonathan hill-rorie

project manager

Jonathan Hill-Rorie (he/him/his) has extensive experience in project management, research, public health, and justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion issues. Jonathan is a Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholar. His scholarly interests include understanding how social networks and social capital influence suicidality in college and university students. 

Jonathan holds a M.P.H. in social and behavioral sciences from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a B.A. from Duke University in evolutionary and cultural anthropology.
